The Little Red River is widely regarded as one of the premier trout streams in North America, and for good reason: Five fish limits are commonplace, and the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission instituted a slot limit on the Little Red River beginning in 2007 that will increase the size of fish taken from the river.
Even without slot limits, the Little Red produces monster trout. Howard “Rip’ Collins proved as much in 1992 when he pulled a world record 40 pound 4 ounce behemoth from the river just upstream from Rainbow Island near Barnett Access.

Rest assured that the trout fishing on the Little Red River is getting better every day and we’ll put you in the middle of it. In fact, on Rainbow Island you'll sleep in the middle of it, surrounded on all sides by prime trout waters.
